Oracle purchases AmberPoint
Oracle is to acquire AmberPoint, a supplier of service-oriented architecture (SOA) management tools, reports eBizQ.
AmberPoint's solutions can help organisations diagnose and resolve issues in application performance and business transactions, such as insurance claims processing or account provisioning where multiple applications need to work together.
AmberPoint's SOA management products will extend Oracle Fusion Middleware's SOA capabilities including Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle SOA Governance, and Oracle Enterprise Manager, said to accelerate the resolution of application performance and business transactions issues before the business is impacted.
Mega integrates EA, IT planning
Mega released its IT planning solution to help enterprises successfully align IT plans with business strategy, and manage IT transformations faster and more efficiently, states Business Wire.
Mega integrates IT planning with enterprise architecture (EA), a necessary combination to provide all capabilities required to quickly understand how potential changes to IT resources will affect business operations.
“The combination of business' increasing reliance on IT and the volatility of the marketplace have put more pressure on IT to plan quickly, accurately, and thoroughly. IT must now compare plans to alternatives, prepare them with contingencies, and review them on a monthly or quarterly - not yearly - basis,” says Sharyn Leaver of Forrester Research.
