Oracle's Primavera Gateway allows managers to improve planning and provides improved access to relevant information. By providing access to financial, resource, scheduling and labour data, the software assists the user to consolidate critical project information into a single work package.
"To successfully manage large capital projects and maintenance operations, organisations need clear visibility into materials, resources, schedules and financial information," said Yasser Mahmud, VP of product strategy and industry marketing at Oracle's Primavera Global Business Unit.
Able to interact with extended interoperability, Oracle's Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) solution is capable of integration with third-party offerings, allowing for versatility when selecting enterprise resource planning (ERP) and asset management (EAM) solutions.
"With the launch of Oracle's Primavera Gateway, partners and customers can benefit from an integrated solution that not only helps reduce risk, but also helps ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. This combination lowers the total cost of ownership for enterprise integration and leverages customers' ERP investments," said Mahmud.
This allows for early identification of inefficiencies and errors caused by inaccurate data or duplications. Primavera Gateway permits the user to designate a preferred source to consider during synchronisation, effectively choosing a "'source of truth' for each data flow", says Oracle.
Driving different project sections to operate within the same frameworks, and boosting process standardisation despite departmental and skill and training divides, Primavera Gateway also enhances network and backup performance. By allowing the user to identify which data updates are significant, the software reduces the amount of data synchronisation required, permitting speedy refreshing of data even for interdepartmental and labour-intensive projects.
Primavera Gateway supports multiple versions of Primavera EPPM, allowing easy upgrades in the future without requiring widespread integration revisions.
