Oracle South Africa sends partners into FastForward

Oracle`s FastForward product suite, consisting of applications that are quickly installed at a fixed price with standard functionality, has seen its first successful implementation, within weeks of being launched to Oracle`s partner network.

FastForward, a programme aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, was launched by Oracle this year and has already seen financial, CRM, supply chain, manufacturing and human resourced modules installed at more than 3 000 sites through Europe, Middle East and Africa.

"The downward trend in the economy has seen companies choosing software solutions that are affordable and can be implemented quickly and deliver on their investment within the same fiscal year," says Jacqui Gogele, partner manager for Oracle South Africa.

Regent Insurance was the first organisation in SA to implement a FastForward application from a partner, in this case Software Futures, part of the MGX group.

FastForward brings all of the Oracle competences together into one integrated offering: core technologies, applications, implementation services, customer support and education.

"It is designed to eliminate the complexity, and much of the time and cost, of large-scale implementations, without sacrificing appropriate functionality," says Gogele.
