Oracle speeds up BPM
The idea behind the BPM accelerators is to deliver pre-packaged process flows to customers of the software.
The accelerators include workflows common across industries, and others that are industry-specific.
According to Enterprise App Today, the Oracle E-Business Suite, HR and procurement transactions are said to be eight times faster, while order-to-cash transactions are three times faster, and accounting transactions seven times faster than they were previously on the various Oracle 'Exa' boxes.
“Most organisations use common processes to manage internal functions, such as employee on-boarding,” says Michael Weingartner, VP of product development at Oracle.
“Extending Oracle Business Process Management Suite 11g with pre-built Oracle Process Accelerators enables customers to increase the value of business processes and speed time-to-value, and increase user productivity," says Weingartner.
