Oracle`s global CRM conference comes to South Africa

Johannesburg, 19 Oct 2000

The Oracle "Think Customers" CRM global conference, which was recently launched in the US, will travel to South Africa in November.

Think Customers is a premier CRM forum presented by some of the brightest minds in the CRM arena. This interactive forum, which will tour 26 cities worldwide, provides many of the essential tools for success in the e-business marketplace.

During this half-day programme presented by industry leaders. participants will examine visionary marketing, sales and service practices to prepare businesses for the unforeseen events that can lead to their demise.

The agenda of this free event includes keynote addresses from Oracle executives coupled with case studies and interactive breakout sessions focused on marketing, sales and service conducted by industry leaders. Think Customers will be hosted by Oracle and its business consulting partner KPMG, and will be sponsored by HP, Cisco and EMC.

"The conference will redefine the best practices for succeeding in the e-business economy," says Hein Pretorius, CRM product manager for Oracle SA.

"For companies to stay competitive in the e-business economy, they need to deploy the latest strategies, technologies and resources. `Think Customers` identifies these new business models, channels and customer expectations and helps participants develop an action plan to ensure their e-business survival.

"Once customers and prospects gain insight into these key concepts, they`ll be able to react more quickly, plan more efficiently and drive increased revenue growth and profitability almost immediately," Pretorius maintains.

During the programme, customers and prospects will have the chance to collaborate with other industry professionals on how to become a true e-business and to discover how they meet their challenges of becoming an e-business.

He says this event is suitable for VPs, company directors of marketing, sales and service, plus IT, e-commerce and call centre organisations.

"By attending this conference, customers and prospects will gain a strategic vision and learn from actionable tenets on how CRM technologies can help maximise marketing efforts, improve sales and optimise customer service to ensure their survival in the e-business economy," Pretorius adds.
