Orion Telecom has launched its Customer Zone at

where clients can log on and view reports pertaining to their cellular and international traffic usage. The reports indicate usage per SIM for the previous day, previous month and previous four months. Savings are represented in both tabular and graphical format for ease of reading.
The displays are management tools for system administrators to keep an eye on this end of their business without having to contact Orion for details. Orion will, however, also `push` these reports to its clients by e-mail if preferred.
According to Charles Roberts, Orion Marketing Manager: "The concept of a customer zone is now commonplace with service providers who want to allow their clients access to information that pertains to them alone. This adds value to the whole service experience and because the information is at the client`s fingertips, it can remove a frustrating layer of personal interfacing for mundane requests.
"We must remember that a customer zone is really only for repetitive information requests and we encourage personal contact as much as possible in our business," said Roberts.
Clients wishing to view their cellular or intertel information on the customer zone must go to www.oriontele.com and then click on the customer zone where they must register. The registration request will be processed immediately and from the morning of the following working day, the client will be able to logon and view the traffic and savings reports. There is a manual verification process which ensures that the registration is not abused by `impostors` posing as the client.
"The customer zone now also has a discussion forum where our clients can air their views and ask any question they want to," says Roberts. "We encourage total openness in our business and are happy for our clients to form user groups for the various services that we offer."
