Ornet Solutions, a member of MB Worksoft, the software and services division of JSE-listed MB Technologies, has joined the Partner Programme and seeks full certified status as an Integrator and as an Oracle reseller.
"This move is strategic to Ornet`s success in the market from two perspectives; firstly, in terms of the recognition from Oracle and secondly for the support that we will enjoy from Oracle as a result of being an accredited partner," says Ron Pienaar, MD of Ornet Solutions.
Kelvin Reynolds, national accounts manager at Oracle South Africa, believes that Ornet has an exciting business plan that is perfectly tailored to the e-commerce business environment: "Ornet`s component of business transformation and the way that it is included as a part of the total solution that they deliver is a true differentiator," he explains. "They also have a good group behind them. We are expecting great things from them," Reynolds adds.
Ornet provides business solutions with an Internet/Web focus that are built around Oracle technology to mid-size companies. Reynolds says that these companies are embracing Oracle Applications` Internet computing model because of the rich functionality and their dramatically reduced implementation times. "We will continue to develop predictable, robust solutions for mid-sized companies to enable them to rapidly realise their return on investment with low-risk implementations," he comments.
"Each of Oracle`s more that 55 enterprise business application modules are fully Internet-enabled, be they financials, human resources, manufacturing, supply chain or customer relationship management. This allows them to be deployed on corporate intranets with no software other than a browser required on the users` desktops," Pienaar concludes.
