Intel`s board of directors has elected Paul Otellini, currently president and COO, as its next CEO.
Otellini will succeed Craig Barrett, who in turn will succeed Andrew Grove as chairman of the Intel board of directors.
Grove will no longer serve on the Intel board but will assume the role of senior advisor to the board and senior management.
The changes will become effective at the time of the company`s next annual stockholders` meeting on 18 May 2005.
