Ovations appoints services director

Gys Hyman has been appointed services director at Ovations, provider of business process management (BPM), enterprise content management (ECM) and business intelligence (BI) solutions. The position was previously held by managing director Rainer Gaier, who will now concentrate on research and development and strategic matters within the company.

Hyman`s responsibilities include the management and growth of Ovations` business consulting, outsource and support services, in accordance with company strategies.

"Business consulting and professional services have always been key focus areas at Ovations and are the foundation upon which the company was originally established," says Gaier. "We have shown rapid growth within the professional services space over the years and through Hyman`s appointment aim to strengthen this competency even further."

Hyman boasts more than 11 years` experience in the IT industry, during which time he acquired a strong background in finance, manufacturing and BPM. Having worked on a number of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in these areas, he gained extensive knowledge in business consulting which enabled him to consult to most of the top 100 organisations in SA. Hyman has also managed the consulting divisions of a range of service providers, including a sub-solution area at PricewaterhouseCoopers and most recently IBM Business Consulting Services.

As services director, Hyman intends making Ovations the dominant and recognised thought leader in the South African BPM market. "While many vendors play in this space, few can boast truly successful projects.
