Ovations Group POPI Survey winner announcement

Ovations is proud to announce that the winner of its 2014 POPI Survey.

Leanne Mandim was randomly drawn as the recipient of a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, sponsored by Samsung Enterprise Mobility. Rainer Gaier, MD at Ovations handed over the prize to Mandim.

The POPI survey, which was run in partnership with ITWeb over a period of two weeks, gauged the readiness of organisations to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act. The survey's participants were made up of a number of key demographics, including IT managers, executives and information officers.

The results of the survey show that while the majority of organisations are taking proactive steps to protect personal information, just under half of all companies have governance in place to monitor processing and integrity of data.
