Panasonic`s got the perfect solution for portable projection

Johannesburg, 20 Aug 2002

Advanced one-touch auto-setup with digital keystone correction in the vertical plane; native XGA resolution; 2200 ANSI Lumens brightness; and a 400:1 contrast ratio. These are but a few of the outstanding projection performance features introduced to the South African market recently by NPC (Electronics) Ltd - the exclusive distributor and importer of Panasonic and Technics products in SA ("Panasonic") - in the form of the Panasonic PT-L720E Portable Projector.

"The PT-L720E packs best-in-class performance and advanced user-friendly features into a sleek and compact, ultra-portable unit," says Ben Hunt, director: Panasonic Office Automation and IT Systems.

"Enabled by Panasonic`s latest digital technologies, it uses an advanced 10-bit digital gamma correction circuit to produce naturally vivid, uniform colours and smooth image gradation; and boasts sRGB colour management, ensuring more accurate colour reproduction than ever before. In addition, the PT-L720E is fitted with a large diameter, extra short-throw lens that allows 80-inch diagonal images to be projected from just 2.5 meters away."

That`s not all! The PT-L720E also offers excellent connection flexibility. For starters, the machine has two computer inputs, one of which doubles as a monitor loop-through output. This allows images to be monitored on the computer screen while being displayed, or while the projector is switched to stand-by mode. Secondly, the PT-L720E has three video inputs, catering for component, composite and S-Video formats.

"We`re convinced that the PT-L720E performs as well, if not better, than heavier and bulkier projectors," says Hunt. "When you factor in the convenience of its compact size, it`s got to be the perfect solution for portable projection."
