Catering for the note-taking and information-sharing needs of seminars, meetings, brain-storming and training sessions, NPC (Electronics) Limited - the exclusive importer and distributor of Panasonic products in SA - will introduce the latest generation Panaboard electronic boards to the South African market this year.
Smaller, lighter and easier to install, the new generation Panaboards feature an all-in-one slim design and may either be wall-mounted or fitted to an optional floor-stand. Three new models will be offered locally, namely:
* Panaboard UB-5315-U: A standard-sized 900mm x 1275mm board with plain paper printer (50-sheet A4 capacity);
* Panaboard UB-5815-U: A wider board, measuring 900mm x 1 638mm, also with a 50-sheet plain paper printer; and
* Panaboard UB-5310-U: A standard-sized 900mm x 1 275mm board with a thermal paper printer.
The two plain paper models made their d'ebut mid-2003, with the thermal-type scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of the year. Built-in printers on the three models ensure easy operation, as well as cost- and time-efficiency in saving and/or disseminating meeting notes.
Importantly, all three have USB1.1 as the standard PC interface, which supports all current operating systems. This means that the Panaboard can be controlled from a PC, and can be used as a PC printer. It also maximises the functionality of the utility software provided with the Panaboard, notably Document Manager (which makes filing and distributing notes from the Panaboard quick and easy) and Document Viewer (for annotating images scanned from the Panaboard onto PC, complete with annotations).
