Panda launches all-in-one anti-malware appliance

Panda Software has recently launched GateDefender Integra, an all-in-one appliance for protecting against all types of threats.

This appliance completes the vendor`s range of perimeter security solutions, which is currently made up of the GateDefender Performa appliances.

GateDefender Integra is a hardware device with dedicated software designed to protect networks using a multi-layered approach: firewall, VPN service, Intrusion Prevention System, anti-malware, content filtering, anti-spam protection and Web filtering.

The different layers of protection work together to offer virtually foolproof security against both known and unknown network and content threats.

The device is installed at the gateway between the corporate network and the Internet or another network, just like a firewall, and is managed through a straightforward centralised Web administration console. It scans all inbound and outbound traffic in the corporate network and traffic between network zones, ensuring complete protection for all zones, without degrading the performance of the connection. It also automatically updates the virus signature file every 90 minutes.
