This service is the first to include manual analysis as well as the latest detection technologies. The TrustLayer Mail anti-virus engine combines signature-based detection of known viruses with proactive detection of unknown threats using TruPrevent Technologies.
Suspicious files are analysed manually at PandaLabs. When TrustLayer Mail detects a message containing a threat, it is stored in quarantine servers, hosted remotely by Panda Software to avoid using clients' resources. Suspicious files are sent to PandaLabs where they are analysed in detail within 24 hours.
The TrustLayer Mail anti-spam service is based on MailShell technology, using artificial intelligence to identify junk mail. The content filtering system allows a series of policies to be defined to ensure correct e-mail usage. For example, administrators can filter out non-work-related attachments, boosting employee productivity.
