Panda Security has introduced its Web-based subscription service, Panda Managed Office Protection version 5.02, to the channel. The security service is aimed at professionals, SMEs and any enterprise wanting to drive channel sales, and to resellers and ISPs offering a complete protections service.
Jeremy Matthews, Panda Security's head of operations in the sub-Sahara region, believes this offering is more than just an anti-virus. “This service includes proactive anti-malware protection, managed personal firewall as well as in-depth malware audits.”
It also provides a Web console that allows clients' networks to be monitored and administered remotely, simply and securely from a Web browser, saving the time and hassle associated with on-site visits, he adds.
The product includes features such as custom branding, which allows for the customising of the service; improved global client management through key protection; and licence status information on all clients, Matthews says.
“With Managed Office Protection, the channel will be providing a complete, value-added security management service, fully aligned with the concept of security as a service. The console allows client organisations to be structured in as many layers as required, in accordance with the resellers or partners involved in the sales.”
