Pangea has enjoyed continued growth in the South African market due to its advanced IP faxing solutions.
It continues to make an investment in software development, and can offer a service now that can, in the instance of a sophisticated device such a large MFP device, be developed for that device to send and receive faxes across an IP connection, negating the need for a telephone line.
In this case, access to the MFP's API or SDK would be required to develop the software for the MFP to send and receive faxes. Faxes can be sent across the LAN port on the device using either SMTP or HTPPS. The software will also poll the back-end service for faxes from the back-end servers.
The existing phone number of the device can be ported to the service, if required, through existing porting processes Pangea already offers its clients. "We are excited to launch this new faxing solution in the market; this will offer huge cost savings and benefits to the supplier and users of the many MFPs in the market," says Anche Botha, COO of Pangea.
