Panorama debuts social BI platform

Gigaom.

Whereas most current corporate social networking tools, such as Yammer and Socialtext, are based around people, skills and interests, Necto starts with business and makes connections based on who knows about, or is interested in, that data.

Using the standard social networking model of being able to 'follow' someone, anyone within a company can follow other users to see what they are doing in terms of publishing, accessing and commenting on company information.

Necto offers users a self-service BI solution that allows a broad expansion of their unique business insights, according to PR Newswire.

The intuitive and powerful interface allows users to quickly create custom views and reports for tailored analysis.

User confidence in the system and analysis grows exponentially with time, both as a result of the self-service capabilities, as well as the ability to learn from the experience of others.

“Necto offers three core attributes for users, including social intelligence, relevancy and self-service,” said Rony Ross, chairperson and founder of Panorama Software.

Meanwhile, Sacramento BEE reveals that syskoplan AG, Gold certified Microsoft Partner in several categories, said it is the preferred German market of Panorama Software and is one of the first to unveil Necto, Panorama's latest socially-enabled BI solution, in the European region.
