South African-based security software company, CQS Technology Holdings, has partnered with Uganda`s AH Consulting, to channel and distribute security software products in the East African market, says Fanie Fourie, division director at CQS.
AH Consulting has branches in Uganda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana and Rwanda, he notes. "The partnership will give CQS a chance to expand its East African market further."
Fourie says CQS has been partnering and channelling products with businesses in Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria for over three years.
Herbert Rwamibazi, CEO of AH Consulting, believes the Ugandan company can bring strength to the partnership with its sound knowledge of the local markets. "We can effectively channel CQS products through the various AH Consulting branches because we have been operating in the region for years."
AH Consulting, he notes, as well as providing software to the East African market, is offering training, implementation, consultancy and in country support through help-desks.
"We have a large market base which includes the office of the auditor-general in Uganda, banks, insurance companies, telecommunication companies, fast-moving consumer goods companies, microfinance institutions, parastatals and government departments," says Rwamibazi. There is potential for future growth, he notes.
Fourie notes CQS works closely with about 300 clients in SA and about 450 clients in the East and West African market.
