PartServe adds new services to its portfolio

PartServe Channel Support today announced that it had added asset recovery and disposal services to its portfolio.

When a company undertakes a technology refresh of its IT equipment, there is always the issue of how to recover any asset value that may exist on the old equipment and how to dispose of it quickly and effectively.

PartServe Channel Support now offers two solutions for the disposal of this equipment:

* Fixed Price Buy Back that is based upon a `fair market` value of the IT equipment.

* Shared Revenue Sale whereby PartServe undertakes the disposal and both parties participate in any proceeds that may ensue.

In addition to the two services mentioned above, PartServe also offers the following on-site services:

* Environmentally safe disposal of non-marketable assets, including the issuing of a `destruction certificate`;

* Asset testing and auditing;

* Hard disc data-wiping; and

* Packing and transportation, whereby PartServe can arrange to collect and transport packed equipment from anywhere in SA.

"This additional service fits well into PartServe as we are able to refurbish large volumes of desktop PCs, printers, POS equipment and servers," commented Lee Bowes, Director at PartServe Channel Support. "Many organisations, as a direct result of the new application software they are implementing or are planning to implement/exploit, are being forced to upgrade their equipment earlier than was originally envisaged. Thus a substantial amount of usable `old` hardware is available for refurbishment, if necessary, and for subsequent disposal to the channel for onward sale to home users, schools and other entities whose requirements are less exacting.

"Thus, these services are providing added value to both the channel and the end-user community," concluded Bowes. "Likewise, this initiative also creates added value for the corporate market itself and is yet another opportunity for us to differentiate ourselves."
