Pastel Payroll launches outsourced payroll service

Softline Pastel Payroll recently launched its Pastel Payroll Outsourcing Service, an outsourced payroll division designed to relieve small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of the burden of running a legally compliant payroll department.

"Legislation that governs payroll is becoming more complex with every passing month and it is becoming increasingly difficult to fully comply with all the acts," says Stephen Corrigan, director of Softline Pastel Payroll.

"The resources needed to effectively run a compliant payroll operation are often beyond the financial capabilities of SMEs, and even those that can afford it find the task too complex. Instead of diverting resources away from the core business to run a full-time payroll department, these companies can now rely on Pastel to provide a complete outsourced payroll solution."

With a number of customers already on board, Pastel Payroll Outsourcing has been well received by the market, as the facility caters for monthly, weekly and fortnightly payroll frequencies, as determined by the customer - offering full confidentiality and reliability. This new service also caters for partial outsourcing, allowing companies to outsource components of their payrolls such as executive payrolls for confidentiality purposes.

With Pastel Payroll Outsourcing, customers outsource their payrolls to the experts, knowing that every facet of legislation regarding payroll is adhered to. This solution is easy to implement, offering customised payslips (printed on security-sealed stationery), reports and sick leave administration, which are all part of the solution, along with supplying the relevant employee tax certificates.

"Naturally, any legislative changes are implemented after first communicating with customers and discussing the appropriate ramifications," Corrigan adds. "Peace of mind is guaranteed, allowing SMEs to focus on running their companies instead of onerous administrative tasks."

"With Pastel Payroll taking responsibility for processing a company`s payroll, the organisation will no longer have to purchase and install its own payroll software," says Corrigan. "Moreover, the associated costs of annual licence fees, consulting fees, training and seminars will be avoided, and it also saves on the cost of employing a payroll administrator."

As not all companies have the manpower to process their salaries and wages effectively, or the finances to purchase payroll software, Pastel Payroll Outsourcing can offer them the required support and services coupled with the necessary market understanding and expertise at an affordable price.

"Regular meetings are held with customers to ensure the quality of service Pastel Payroll provides remains at optimal levels and that customers` expectations are exceeded."

Pastel Payroll Outsourcing allows businesses to focus on their strengths, knowing that their payroll is efficiently, confidentially and legally handled by an experienced outsourcing partner. For a set monthly fee, payroll can become a hassle-free experience.

Pastel Payroll, a member of the Softline Group, is SA`s leading developer of payroll applications. The software`s multilingual feature allows companies to produce payslips in any of the 11 official languages. Softline Pastel has over 160 000 users worldwide and is currently sold in more than 40 countries. The software is available in six different languages including Dutch, English, French, German, Icelandic and Portuguese.
