PaySpace has unveiled its online, on-demand payroll and human resources management program that eliminates the concept of a "payrun" and facilitates the processing of salaries in real-time.
The program`s approach differs from traditional payroll process where the payroll department needs to open calendars and post payroll inputs in order to do the payrun, says Bruce Van Wyk, CEO of PaySpace.
"The ease at which a user can obtain and share information was one of our primary goals and something that gives any business a major competitive advantage," he says.
The "on-demand delivery" approach means that a customer can sign up and get up and running immediately, he adds. Van Wyk says the costing model works on a per payslip basis, allowing a business to only pay for what it produces. "There are no exorbitant hourly setup fees, no licence fees and therefore no risk on a huge upfront capital investment for your software," he says.
Van Wyk says the PaySpace payslip engine allows the user to capture inputs, view reports and apply payroll process changes in the future so figures on payslips can be projected for the tax year. Tax certificates and any future or historical data can be viewed at any point in time, he says. This feature is powerful for forecasting and budget planning purposes, he adds.
The software also has no limitations in terms of employee numbers, making it appropriate for small, medium or large organisations. Companies can test drive the software first, in order to ensure it fits their business requirements before signing a contract, he says.
Van Wyk says PaySpace software is built on Microsoft`s .Net platform, giving it the flexibility to integrate with most applications, from mobile to Web services.
PaySpace is developing additional Microsoft Sharepoint Webparts as well as mobile access to an employee`s profile in order to enquire leave balances and check the details of payslips. These modules will be released in the very near future, he says.
