Johannesburg, 12 Jul 2007

Maurice Staal, Managing Director of PC-WARE Information Technologies, a South African Microsoft large account reseller, announced yesterday the introduction of its new hosted software asset management (SAM) services during its two-day international SAM event in Midrand.

PC-WARE will provide its clients with access to the full spectrum of its cost-effective integrated SAM solutions and services.

PC-WARE's SAM services will provide its clients with the effective management, control and protection of their software assets with respect to their software expenditure.

It will enable customers to manage all their contractual obligations with vendors, deployment and usage throughout all stages of the software life cycle.

Maurice Staal explains: "Software asset management is part of our Five Pillar Value Proposition successfully launched in April of this year. In our discussion with our customers, it became clear that there is a requirement for hosted services. Therefore, we developed a comprehensive solution that is cost-effective and ensures compliancy with all software vendors, as well as a total software asset overview.

"Our clients trust in our 17 years' expertise as a licensing specialist. The growth of our SAM business unit is a direct result of our one-stop licensing solution that helps our clients to comply with best practices in IT."

PC-WARE offers customers the opportunity to outsource the entire process of SAM. Clients are provided with permanent and actual information on all software assets, including contract management, thus enabling the organisation to strategically plan, protect their investment and make sound decisions. This unique service can be hosted on and off-site. Experienced consultants and project managers will assure successful delivery.
