Pcounter Europe names Konica Minolta South Africa as partner of the year

Johannesburg, 21 Jul 2009

Bidvest company, Konica Minolta South Africa, has scooped the Pcounter Africa award for 2008 for outstanding work and focus in representing, selling and supporting products from Pcounter and driving the business to new goals.

Pcounter has more than 12 years of experience developing and supplying print and document accounting solutions for a wide variety of industries.

Beyond print accounting, Pcounter also supports accounting of copy, scan and fax, as well as solutions for secure print, online Web payment and much more.

"Receiving this award is truly a major accolade for Konica Minolta South Africa as we started this product from nothing locally," says Mohammed Vachiat, product manager at Konica Minolta South Africa.

"There is a real need locally for companies to firstly know and understand the cost of printing and copying, and then better control it. To get to this point, it is critical to identify where the cost is spent today, to enable control of future cost.

"Pcounter's products help businesses overcome the challenges of resource wastage from unproductive printing and copying, and the ineffective use of colour for jobs where it's not needed. This enables them to understand their current cost of printing and document management, optimise the use of existing devices, recover costs where possible, increase productivity by releasing a print job to the most appropriate device and minimise expenses through rules-based printing.

"We believe that Pcounter's solution set adds real value to our bizhub devices and it is thanks to these products that we have secured a number of local accounts," adds Vachiat.
