PENTAX Europe appoints Rainer Burkard President of Europe, Middle East and Africa Region

PENTAX Europe, a division of HOYA, announced the appointment of Rainer Burkard to the position of President Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as of 1 August 2015. In this executive role, Rainer Burkard is responsible for leading all PENTAX Medical activities in the EMEA region.

"He has the credentials and business leadership to oversee PENTAX Medical's operations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and will build upon our strategy and infrastructure to strengthen our position as a leading endoscopy solutions provider in EMEA."

Burkard joined the HOYA Group in 2002 and since that time he has held several senior positions across the areas of Business Development, Management and Marketing. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of SEIKO Optical.
