PeopleSoft hosts Webinar on Technology Foundation

Johannesburg, 25 Nov 2003

PeopleSoft will host a Web seminar (Webinar) on 27 November at 3pm South African time, discussing Technology Foundation, PeopleSoft`s choice of the IBM technical layers required to deploy its PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne applications in an open systems world.

This comprises IBM`s application server, portal and database, chosen for their portability across multiple vendor platforms.

Dave Macdonald, PeopleSoft SA national solutions consulting manager, says: "This is a great opportunity to spread the word about the value of Technology Foundation to our customer base."

A Webinar is an online seminar that is run live on a particular date and time and consists of both an audio and a visual presentation.

At the end of the Webinar, which will last approximately 30 minutes, there will be a live and online text-based question and answer session where participants will be able to submit any questions they may have from the online event. Replies will be sent shortly afterwards from experts on the chosen topic.

The Webinar will be available to watch on-demand at a later date through membership of the PeopleSoft Virtual Conference Centre (VCC).

To register on the VCC, go to www.peoplesoft.com/goto/VCC.

After registering, users will receive an automated e-mail containing a membership passcode to access the Web site. This will be required to use the VCC to watch any future live and on-demand events.

On the date and time of the live event, users should re-enter their e-mail address and passcode at the VCC and access the chosen live event.

Computers should have a sound card installed, a Windows media player and a high bandwidth network connection. Accessing a Webinar remotely using a dial-up connection will compromise the quality.

Access to view any online seminar could be restricted if an organisation operates an Internet firewall policy.
