Peregrine Systems, the provider of infrastructure management software, has announced Power.Enterprise, a Java-based e-business integration tool that enables seamless, realtime e-commerce connections between multiple e-markets.
Power.Enterprise has been developed in response to market demand for management of the rapid proliferation of new trading standards on the Internet, says Allen Lewis, Peregrine GM at local distributor CCH Enterprise Solutions.
"Trade on new and emerging marketplaces is based largely on XML technologies," says Lewis, "while much of the e-commerce world is still trading using legacy standards and protocols. For e-Business to be effective, marketplace participants must be able to connect new and old with ease."
Power.Enterprise provides an open architecture for realtime translation of new and old data formats used by e-markets, such as XML, xCBL, ebXML, cXML, RosettaNet, Biztalk, X12 and EDIFACT for seamless integration to back-end applications, thus allowing true any-to-any e-business transactions in realtime. With Power.Enterprise, users can link into multiple e-trading environments without having to worry about confusing and diverse technology requirements.
"Based on a component design, Power.Enterprise eliminates one of the greatest hurdles in getting companies to the next level of e-Business," adds Lewis. "Power.Enterprise was created to help organisations bridge the gap between multiple existing and emerging e-business data frameworks."
