PereSoft Software announces release of service packs

PereSoft Software recently announced the release of Cashbook 5.4A Service Pack 4 and EFTXpress 5.4A Service Pack 2.

The service packs include major security enhancements.

One of the new cashbook features introduced in this release is a user by bank security option, whereby access to a particular bank account can be granted or denied to a user. This feature is particularly useful for salary and wages accounts with confidential information.

In EFTXpress (the cashbook electronic funds transfer product) a new user security right protects bank account payment information for vendors being paid via EFT.

The security functionality is further extended by providing an audit list in the Cashbook register report, to report on any vendor bank account payment details that are changed, and to list the user who made the changes.

Robert Perel, Managing Director of PereSoft Software, comments: "Security concerns are ever more pressing in today's business application environment, and nowhere is it more apparent than with sensitive data like your bank processes. This release is in direct response to such security concerns."

Another major feature in this release is the cashbook interface to the recently released Sage Accpac ERP Project and Job Costing 5.4A module.

Consult the New Features in Cashbook 5.4A Service Pack 4 page, for a detailed list of features available in this release.
