Performanta has a new address

The Performanta move into its new premises in Midrand is a metaphor for both the growth of the company and the principles that it adheres to.

"We invested a lot of effort establishing a culture that embodies what we believe - that if we consistently deliver high quality products and services through committed people, we will build trusted, beneficial relationships with our customers. When we defined the brand, we debated at length before agreeing that the words 'practical' and 'trust' express who we are - and we concentrate on living to those values," says Guy Golan, CEO.

This approach has led to a remarkable growth in market share, as well as winning the company accolades, most notably awards from McAfee and Websense. It also led to a need for larger offices which the company addressed in a typically pragmatic fashion: "We had to recognise that we are no longer the small kids on the block," comments Attie Booyens, CTO. "We needed larger offices and invested a lot of effort finding the right location - which we bought, to retain value in the company."

"We differentiate ourselves by providing a complete suite of security services, from products and services to strategic consulting - but we are also expanding into other jurisdictions," adds Brendan Kotze, the MD of Services. "We are expanding offshore while creating local satellite offices to provide local capabilities to our customers outside ofGauteng."

This growth is the result of focus and excellence. Talking about the products that Performanta distributes, Booyens comments: "We continually evaluate new products in the market to ensure that we remain current with new technologies - but our acceptance rate is low. If a product is not going to add material value in this market, or if it does not satisfy our quality criteria, we discount it."

2012 was a watershed year for Performanta. Its sponsorship of the ITWeb Security Summit led the market to take note of its presence - and this continued with the renewal of the sponsorship in 2013. But if anything, the pace is increasing. "There is always a market for high quality at a fair price," says Golan. "We win and maintain customers because of our high service levels. This is who we are. Practical. Trust. Performanta."
