Nando's to use Hosted Exchange e-mail service and WiFi Hotspot In-A-Box

Internet Solutions (IS), a leading converged communications services provider, has signed a deal with Nando's to supply 430 users with Hosted Exchange e-Mail Service.

Hosted Exchange 2003 offers breakthrough advances in performance and stability, along with staff productivity gains and reductions in total cost of ownership.

Users are provided with a wide choice of flexible ways to access their mailboxes including Outlook 2003, Outlook Web Access (OWA). This functionality serves to empower organisations, enabling more effective and efficient communication channels, and ultimately enhancing productivity and competitiveness.

The e-mail infrastructure is located within IS's data centre and incorporates a range of security, content and management features in addition to redundant network systems and skilled administrative staff.

"We have already cut over more than 200 users onto the new system with complete transparency," says Hayden Lamberti, Manager, application solutions, IS.

Additionally, selected Nando's branches will become WiFi hotspots with IS WiFi Hotspot In-A-Box. This is a cost-effective solution that instantly transforms the business into a place where customers can gain access to the Internet and e-mail. The solution includes:

* 24-hour support help-desk that supports all end-users.
* Pre-configured components - it only needs to be connected to the power and network cables.
* 24-hour monitoring and notification facility that reports any problems the moment they occur.
* Unlimited Internet bandwidth for users of each WiFi hotspot.

The IS WiFi Hotspot In-A-Box contains a WiFi access point, ADSL router and firewall, and a WiFi hotspot gateway.
