
Former Business Connexion (BCX) CEO Peter Watt has been appointed independent non-executive chairman of JSE-listed Dialogue Group.
In a SENS announcement to shareholders, the company also said Stephen Rodger would resign as group chairman, wishing to concentrate on his UK business interests.
UK-based Rodger had held the position of chairman for six years, since the start-up of Dialogue. He will continue to contribute to the group`s development as a non-executive director.
Meanwhile, the company says Watt brings to the group extensive strategic and leadership qualities.
Watt was deputy chairman of the Altron Group from 1993 to 1997. He then served as CEO of Dorbyl Automotive Technologies until 1999, when he was appointed CEO of Comparex Africa and a director of Comparex Holdings. Following the disposal of the European operations of Comparex, he became CEO of Comparex Group, which subsequently merged with Business Connexion.
Watt is a founder member of the National Economic Forum and Business SA, as well as a former member of the Presidential National Commission for ICT.
