Many SME companies have a requirement for high volume monochrome printing of legal or financial documentation, proceedings or transcriptions, manuscripts, manuals, minutes and reports.
To meet the needs of this market, Xerox has introduced the Phaser 4510, a heavy-duty desktop printer that offers high performance at low cost.
Superior paper handling, performance, ease of use, service and high output at low cost differentiate the Xerox 4510, according to Philippa Dal Medico, channel manager at Square One Solutions Group, a JSE-listed company focused on applied technology solutions and a boutique distributor of Xerox printers.
"The Phaser 4510 has a 533MHz processor and standard memory of 128MB/512MB, which enables complex jobs to be processed and printed quickly. It also offers a larger print image area with edge-to-edge printing, handles paper weights of up to 216gsm from all paper trays and it can print envelopes from any tray. Standard paper input is 700 sheets. With these attributes, workgroups will find it easy to manage their printing requirements."
Management features include job accounting, which, coupled with the Xerox usage analysis tool for job tracking, allows all print jobs to be tracked to individual PCs within the workgroup for cost control/allocation to individuals or different cost centres.
Print speed based on a 10-document business suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Acrobat) is 46 seconds with a PCL driver and 41 seconds with a PostScript driver, both much faster than equivalent models from other leading manufacturers. Driver installation is also quick and easy, taking one minute 30 seconds, with just four mouse clicks and no reboot required.
Dal Medico says the Phaser 4510 comes with a two-year on-site service warranty and a Xerox "Total Satisfaction" guarantee. "There are excellent productivity features, including smart trays, a six-line display with graphic animations, easily understood language choices, gauges indicating toner level located in the print driver and the printer's front panel and configurable low toner alerts."
Square One offers installation of the printer, training for workgroup staff and setup of the individual computers for job tracking.
