The local subsidiary of Dutch electronics giant Philips has announced the ProScreen PXG30 and ProScreen PXG30 Impact business projectors, with up to 3200 ANSI lumen and contrast up to 800:1.
"This series enables effective communication and offers reliable performance," says Tyrone Young, marketing manager: monitors and LCD projectors at Philips. "With its new design, it`s suited to a fixed installation in a boardroom or conference room environment that requires easy-to-use and reliable projectors."
The successor to the ProScreen PXG20, the PXG30 series is 200 ANSI lumen brighter than its predecessor while the contrast level has tripled. It has a native XGA resolution and covers all formats including HDTV and major colour systems with up to SXGA resolution.
"There`s a motorised lens shift for ceiling installations, direct progressive and component video and 2D digital keystone correction," says Young. "All these can be controlled using the ProntoNEO universal remote control that comes standard with the ProScreen PXG30 series."
ProntoNEO allows users to control all presentation equipment, including VCRs, DVDs, sound systems and even curtains or lights. In addition, the ProntoNEO can control a PC mouse cursor and, using its `direct` buttons, easily select the different data or video input signals of the PXG30. The ProScreen PXG30 boasts 2500 ANSI lumen and 700:1 contrast, which is suitable for work in boardrooms or auditoriums. It provides pin-sharp pictures even with long projection distances and in direct sunlight.
With brightness of 3200 ANSI lumen and contrast of 800:1 from a micro lens array, the PXG30 Impact is a projector for those who need high quality images.
In addition to vertical digital keystone correction, the PXG30 series also compensates for any horizontal keystone correction, says Young. "This is quite unique and allows the user to correct distortion from side angles.
For ceiling mounted installations, the PXG30 is equipped with the motorised lens shift, zoom and focus systems to ensure a quality fit installation."
He adds that the PXG30 has been designed to cope with the pressurised business environments. "The Philips 250W UHP lamp guarantees sustained brightness over the lifetime of the lamp," he says. "The lamp is also protected with a SmartSave feature that automatically switches the projector off when it`s not being used."
