Phoenix adds Rapper to portfolio

Johannesburg, 14 Feb 2012

Local distributor Phoenix Distribution, the affiliate company of Phoenix Software responsible for comsumables, has added the Rapper range of mobile accessories to its portfolio.

The company, which specialises in software and accessories, has added the Rapper products to its already comprehensive assortment of accessories for gaming consoles, tablets and mobile phones in order to meet a specific market need.

According to Simon Campbell-Young, CEO of Phoenix Distribution, there was an urgent need for such a range in this product segment. “This new range of mobile accessories is exclusively distributed by us into Incredible Connection. Ranging from R70 to R199, we are filling a gap that we saw for a best-priced consumable range,” he says. “Until now, these types of products have been priced at a range that prohibited consumers from using them as they were intended - as accessories that can be changed on a daily basis to reflect your mood or match your outfit.”

Available for all makes of cellphones and other mobile devices, the Rapper accessories come in a variety of colours and styles. With these devices being in constant use, and being carried around everywhere we go, a certain amount of wear-and-tear is to be expected. The Rapper range includes covers and screen protectors, ensuring your mobile device stays looking as good as new.

“Cellular phone cases, especially, are necessary to protect the phone. However, these don't have to be purely functional, and at these prices, consumers can choose a number of cases to keep on hand to use as the mood strikes them,” Campbell-Young adds. “All of the Rapper accessories help your mobile device look great - whatever the occasion.”

In addition, the range incorporates Bluetooth keyboards for all mobile devices. These pair with the device wirelessly over Bluetooth, expanding the functionality of tablets.

“Touch-screen keyboards aren't necessarily conducive for typing out reports or the next great novel. If you need to maximise your productivity on a tablet, a Bluetooth keyboard is a must. Not only will a physical keyboard help you type faster, but it will also free up valuable screen real estate that the on-screen keyboard would otherwise use,” says Campbell-Young.

The addition of this range to its product portfolio is another illustration of Phoenix Software's ability to see market trends and fill niches and gaps where necessary. “Our close partnerships with suppliers and retailers have allowed us to source products as and when we see a gap, putting us in the privileged position of remaining ahead of the pack. The Rapper range is merely the latest in a long line of products we have brought to market as a result of identifying specific customer needs,” concludes Campbell-Young.
