Phoenix Distribution partners with Buffalo Technology for distribution across sub-Saharan Africa

Phoenix Distribution has won the distribution rights to Buffalo Technology's range of products, including its renowned network attached storage (NAS) devices.

As official distributor of Buffalo Technology on the African continent, Phoenix will supply the company's range of products to its network of resellers and retailers. At present, Phoenix covers software publishing, localisation and distribution across multiple territories in Africa, in multiple languages, across both physical and electronic mediums.

Simon Campbell-Young, CEO of Phoenix Distribution, says the partnership will grow Buffalo's presence both locally and on the continent in general. "With offices and warehouses strategically placed in several regions on the continent, Phoenix is in a good position to do this."

He adds that in today's data-driven world, NAS and other storage is becoming increasingly important to business users as well as home users. Buffalo's flagship NAS solutions, the LinkStation and TeraStation, offer secure and reliable centralised storage and backup, whether for the home, small office or larger business.

"Buffalo's high quality range makes centralising and accessing data easy. For business users, file sharing and user account management is simple, with cross-platform access from Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX clients, while the smart data centre allows home users to store and share a vast range of formats - everything from videos and photos to music. These devices allow for the easy sharing and backup of files on PC and Mac. In addition, users can stream their favourite movies and music or store, manage and protect their most important business assets. Buffalo's network attached storage offer best-in-class shared storage and backup solutions."

Buffalo's Dmitry Tanyukhin says tech consumers are driven by performance above everything else. "That is why Buffalo is committed to developing and delivering innovative, cost-effective storage and networking solutions with class-leading performance and reliability. From conception to design and development, Buffalo provides practical, easy to use solutions for home and business at an unbeatable value."

Campbell-Young says that Buffalo's best-in-class storage and networking products bring innovation, reliability, practicality and performance, and are a perfect addition to Phoenix Distribution's comprehensive range of technology offerings. "We are delighted be adding Buffalo's range to the Phoenix stable. Reasonably priced, and of extremely high quality, the Buffalo products will help meet a growing need among businesses and consumers across the continent."
