Phoenix signs StorageCraft

Johannesburg, 11 Oct 2011

Specialist software distributor Phoenix Software has been appointed sub-Saharan distributor for StorageCraft, the recognised world leader in real-time recovery technology. This strategic partnership will allow Phoenix to distribute the StorageCraft ShadowProtect disk-based backup and disaster recovery software product line.

“We're delighted with the opportunity to partner with StorageCraft,” says Simon Campbell-Young, CEO of Phoenix Software. “StorageCraft's tools reduce downtime, improve security and stability and lower TCO. The products are a powerful addition to the select group of software lines that we offer our reseller and corporate partners.”

He adds that what makes ShadowProtect special compared to other backup software is that it can execute a backup in a way that is very efficient, to the extent where it requires nearly no work on the part of the user. These features and benefits, together with its great reputation, made ShadowProtect a perfect addition to Phoenix Software's strong range of enterprise software solutions.

The ShadowProtect range comprises ShadowProtect Desktop, which provides fast and reliable disaster recovery, data protection and system migration to get desktops and laptops online as quickly as possible; ShadowProtect Server, which includes bare metal recovery to the same system, dissimilar hardware or to and from virtual environments, and protects an entire server environment including the operating system, applications like Microsoft Exchange and SQL, and data; ShadowProtect ImageManager, which allows users to consolidate point-in-time backup images on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for simplified management; ShadowProtect IT Edition, which provides a snapshot in time of a particular computer or server, and is a powerful tool for any IT professional to revert to a point in time in the event something goes wrong with a task or change; and ShadowProtect Virtual, a tool to manage today's hybrid computing environments.
