Phoenix Software adds Encyclopaedia Britannica Software range to bolster its educational product offering

Johannesburg, 24 Jun 2008

Phoenix Software has been granted the exclusive republishing rights for Britannica Software in South Africa. Britannica Software is the world leader of reference, education and learning products.

"Adding the Britannica range of products to our existing educational offering significantly strengthens our position in the retail market as well as boosting our channel offering," says Jason Phillips, Sales Director, Phoenix Software South Africa.

"The Britannica range offers a digital view of the Britannica printed media. It provides the ultimate reference and information guides to the consumer sector. In the near future we will be launching a range of children's reference products, plus teenage and adult-centric products," adds Phillips.

Lotta Farley, Head of Consumer Markets of Encyclopaedia Britannica (UK) Ltd, says: "The Britannica Software titles are already very well established in the South African market and we are delighted to have partnered with Phoenix Software who will continue the growth by releasing new titles suitable for all age groups and making them available to more sectors of the market."
