Make sharing your photos with friends and family a pleasurable experience by burning photos onto video CD with the help of Paint Shop Photo Album 4, Jasc Software`s latest offering. This application, available through Computrolley, gives you the ability to turn photos into works of art.
The Paint Shop Photo Album 4 toolset makes transferring images from the camera to a PC a two-click operation.
"Once photos are downloaded, how they are stored and used is entirely up to the user. Photos can be used to burn video CDs. Once a CD has been created it can be viewed on a TV with a DVD player. The program also allows the user to add an MP3 sound track, narrate details of the event or record greetings onto the video using the text annotation feature included. Photo Album 4 also automatically archives full resolution copies of all photos used to create a video CD," says Simon Campbell-Young, MD of Computrolley.
Photos need never be less than perfect again. Fixes can be made either manually or automatically. Fix colour, contrast and brightness with Photo Album`s one-click Quick Fix tool or use the Adjust Wizard to manually bring out important details in photos. The Adjust Wizard guides the user through colour corrections, while the Adjust dialogue offers nine precision photo adjustments to further enhance a photo`s subject.
Correcting imperfections or highlighting elements in the photos is easy with the tools available. Photo Album 4 introduces the user to the Adjust Wizard which guides users through key correction processes to get the best colour and exposure correction possible. Flash and backlight controls that brighten only the dark areas of photos or reduce backlighting in over exposed areas can also be used.
The program makes a wide-angle lens unnecessary. "The user can create panoramic photos by stitching a number of photos together and Photo Album 4 will create a seamless panorama," says Campbell-Young. Added to the convenience of this program is the option of storing photos in colour, black and white or sepia. They can also be cropped to eliminate unwanted elements or resized to standard photo sizes before they are printed.
"When e-mailing these, photos are automatically optimised for quicker downloading and Photo Album 4 is compatible with the AOL e-mail client," Campbell-Young says.
