Woolworths, one of the leading retailers in southern Africa, has implemented StrategyWare version 2.0, the world`s leading applications management system, from Fair, Isaac. PIC Solutions was chosen to assist with the project, which is a first for the South African financial services industry.
StrategyWare provides sophisticated risk management functionality, enabling credit grantors to manage their applications processes more effectively. This includes Champion-Challenger strategy testing; enabling organisations to determine which new accounts policies are the most profitable for their business.
With the impressive results achieved from the initial implementation of StrategyWare, Woolworths Financial Services were keen to realise the benefits that an upgrade to version 2.0 would bring. Accordingly, PIC Solutions personnel were retained to work closely with the WFS credit risk team on the project. This included assisting with defining the scope of the project, determining the technical architecture and host interface design, co-ordinating all business areas affected by the implementation and providing additional support services and testing resources.
