Pick Systems Africa, a leading vendor of the multidimensional database management systems (MDBS), today announced that it had launched a Professional Services Division aimed at providing additional support and services to its clients.
To be run by Robin Owen and Jacques Franken, the division will offer a wide range of services that will be made available to clients, outside of their standard support contracts. Furthermore, the division will provide Pick`s customers with assistance in all aspects of technology upgrade and project management.
"We are delighted to be able to offer a fully encompassing range of value-added services aimed at providing high quality consulting to customers requiring specialised technical expertise," says Adrian Oxborrow, managing director: Pick Systems Africa.
Pick Systems Africa has identified a number of areas where Professional Services will offer the most value to VARs.
Professional services will provide on-site support services such as implementation guidance; perform scheduled preventative maintenance and regular system audits. Off-site support such as initial load/set-up, conversions/upgrades and telephone support will also be available to Pick Systems customers.
Programming services for OSFI Server, FlashCONNECT and Oracle gateway, installation, set-up and training will also be on offer from the Professional Services Division.
Professional services will provide Housekeeping Services, an annual contract that allows clients a set amount of time on-site support at discounted rates for general database maintenance activities.
In addition to the official Pick training schedule professional services will be equipped to provide ad-hoc customised training on site.
Oxborrow concludes that the Professional Service Division by expanding the services provided by Pick Systems Africa, will provide additional value and commitment to its Value Added Resellers and end-users.
