Picnki, Lexmark
Picnik, a Web-based photo-editing application, and Lexmark are joining forces to make it easier for consumers to edit, enhance and print better photos, reports CNN Money.
The new toolbar enables Lexmark Toolbar users access to Picnik directly through their Web browsers with a simple click and is available for both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
"Lexmark is focused on enhancing the user experience by providing innovative and intuitive printing solutions. Picnik does just that by making it easier and more enjoyable for customers to print photos at home," said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive VP and president of its Consumer Printer Division.
Xerox looks good
Xerox was named a "top pick" by a Banc of America analyst about a week after the company announced its first dividend in six years, states CNN Money.
Last week, Xerox predicted double-digit earnings growth in coming years because of new products and a robust balance sheet.
Analyst Ananda Baruah began coverage of Xerox at "Buy", noting that the company has exceeded the midpoint of its earnings-per-share outlook range in eight of nine quarters.
Agfa adopts Visage
Visage Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercury Computer Systems, has a worldwide integration agreement with Agfa HealthCare, a provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, says CNN Money.
Agfa HealthCare will integrate the Visage CS Thin Client/Server into its IMPAX product line in order to provide enterprise-wide advanced visualisation capabilities based on 3D thin-client technology.
This integrated solution ensures that large image data volumes can reside entirely on the central server, and interactive 3D and 4D viewing and post-processing can be performed from any client computer using an innovative thin-client streaming technology.
