Pink Elephant is very pleased to announce the acquisition of ServiceSphere, an IT market leader and innovator in the emerging and ever-growing area of social networking.
With the acquisition, Pink is very fortunate to bring on board the founder of ServiceSphere, Chris Dancy, in the new role of Digital Engagement Director.
Dancy, one of the IT support industry's most respected social networking experts, has brought with him a wealth of experience and knowledge to Pink Elephant, enabling Pink to continue its mission of leading the way in IT management best practices.
“We're very excited about this opportunity and welcome Chris and ServiceSphere's customers into the Pink family,” said Pink Elephant's President, David Ratcliffe, adding that the acquisition is a solid fit with the company's vision for the future.
“Once regarded as a fad, more and more organisations are integrating social networking into their strategies, and the implications for IT are significant. Should IT organisations follow their customers in this area, or lead? At Pink we believe that IT organisations really need to step up with knowledge and guidance on the opportunities - and risks - provided by social networking. With this acquisition, we aim to build upon Chris Dancy and ServiceSphere's success by exploiting multiple social networking platforms for the benefit of all parties in the ITSM community - practitioners as well as suppliers. We aim to educate, connect and engage our customers and the IT community at large.”
Chris Dancy, who founded ServiceSphere in 2008, is very happy to become a Pinker. “I feel it was time to expand more globally into the IT community. Pink Elephant has always been a worldwide industry leader and now I'll be able to reach a much wider audience to help companies transform the way they do business through collaborative media.” Dancy also adds that shared values and trust were major factors in making his decision. “I have a high level of trust and respect for Pink and know that through our pooled passion and pioneering spirit, we will be able to more rapidly reach a global audience of customers. I am very excited about this opportunity.”
