Digital lifestyle specialist, Pinnacle Micro, has announced the immediate availability of the LG P1 Express Dual notebook.
The 15.4-inch widescreen dual powered entertainer is set to rock the socks off of multimedia enthusiasts.
The P1 incorporates Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technologies based on the Intel Core Duo processor, which delivers enhanced mobile performance for multi-tasking capabilities.
So says Nicky Dockerill, LG brand manager at Pinnacle Micro, who adds that by using two cores and a faster 66MHz front side bus, the P1 provides significant performance improvements at the same frequency comparison as Intel's Pentium Microprocessor.
"The incorporation of the new processor allows users to do more at the same time while experiencing riveting, rich digital entertainment on the go," she says.
The inclusion of the Core Duo processor also supports enhanced DDR2 memory capability operating at a faster 667MHz compared to previous generation Centrino. "In addition, memory capabilities are enhanced with dual channel configuration modes."
The Dual Hexa-Band antenna has dual receiving components, which divide the frequency band into six sub-bands making wireless connections more stable and providing wider coverage. All standards, including single, dual and tri-band modes, of wireless connections are fully supported by the P1 unit, says Dockerill.
The P1 offer dual layer recording capabilities with the inclusion of DVD Super Multi technologies and can burn in all formats of DVD+/RW including DVD-RAM.
"A really cool aspect of the P1 is BlueCore 4," says Dockerill. "The next gen Bluetooth technology delivers data rates up to three times faster than Bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2 devices, which is ideal for high data traffic PC applications, including print, mouse and listening to music, which can all be done at the same time without impact on connection stability or performance."
The P1 delivers cinema quality sound with the improved audio dynamics and reproduction of low frequency bass signals as well as the 5.1 discrete channels of cinematic surround sound with an integrated 5.1CH decoder.
Virtual surround sound is achieved with the transmission of media-stored sound sources to speakers as optimised signals, removing signal distortion. The unit also features a 5-in-1 multimedia card slot, which provides an interface for digital devices like XD, SD, MMC, MS or MS Pro.
The P1 offers added security with the incorporation of a fingerprint reader that logs known users onto the system with a single finger swipe. On selected systems, with Trusted Platform Module (TPM), users can even use the fingerprint reader to encrypt files and folders for an additional layer of security.
