Local distribution houses, Pinnacle Micro and Workgroup, have announced an audio/video station for iPod users, namely the iPod AV-8200Wi.
This unit allows iPod users to watch videos, view photographs, listen to music or view podcasts through the iPod onto a television or to a hi-fi system.
So says Arno Fourie, Trust brand manager, who adds that the iPod AV-8200Wi acts as a docking station where the images and sound on an iPod can be played on existing screens and sound systems.
"Furthermore, the iPod can be operated using the compact remote control and the design of the system includes a universal iPod dock into which every iPod model can be inserted," he says.
Since everything needed is included in the package, it is not necessary to buy extra converters or cables to connect the Audio/Video Station. The provided adapters server all popular iPod models, such as the iPod with video, iPod Nano and iPod Mini.
"The wireless remote control makes it possible to operate the AV station from the comfort of your chair," says Fourie. "The device also functions as a charger for the iPod and can be used to transfer files to and from a PC."
