Pizza chain deploys Phone 7
Datacom Software Solutions has developed Australia's first Windows Phone 7 application for online ordering on behalf of Eagle Boys Pizza, according to PRWire.
The release marks the first part of an overall $3 million retail technology implementation by the Australian pizza chain.
The implementation of the Windows Phone 7 app is built on Microsoft Silverlight, and Windows Communication Foundation technologies, which is the same development platform use
Internet tops payment methods
A survey by the American Bankers Association shows that for two years in a row, bank customers prefer Internet banking to any other method, writes Financial Brand.
The study also found that branches were preferred by those ages 55 and over, and ATM popularity is down in all age groups.
Last year, 25% of customers favoured online banking. In 2010, more than one-third or 36% opt for the online channel.
Online services frustrate Europeans
European consumers are more frustrated by online customer service than they were a year ago, according to a report from Art Technology Group, writes Utalk Marketing.
The report reveals that 43% of consumers rate online service as just satisfactory or worse, a rise compared to last year's figure of 25%.
Over one-third of UK consumers would not describe their experience of online shopping as anything more than satisfactory with 40% believing the entertainment sector offers the best level of service online.
