Planview hosts Web cast

Planview, provider of enterprise-wide portfolio management solutions, will conduct the third in a series of Web casts on ITIL titled, "Integrated IT Management with ITIL: Building a Comprehensive IT Management ", according to Business Wire.

During the Web cast, Forrester Research principal analyst Peter O'Neill will speak on the value of integrating ITIL processes and program management best practices to realise a framework for integrated IT management.

Joining O'Neill are Planview Service Portfolio Management product manager Jeff Evans, and Planview chief process architect Terry Doerscher, who will demonstrate how ITIL v3 can be incorporated into the broader IT management regimen.

OpTier named 'Rising Star'

OpTie, provider of business transaction management solutions, has been named "A rising star to watch" by Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), an IT management research and consulting firm, according to PR Newswire.

In this research report, EMA highlighted the best available software solutions in several disciplines.

The report states that with a rating of almost 4.5 out of 5, OpTier's flagship CoreFirst product scored the highest of all statistically significant responses in customer satisfaction for performance and availability management.

IT leader joins ServiceLink

ServiceLink, a provider of origination and default services and the national mortgage services platform for the Fidelity National Financial family of companies, has appointed Christopher Behning as executive VP of Vision Global Solutions, according to Business Wire.

In his role, Behning will be responsible for all development, product management and business analyst efforts for ServiceLink's technology group.

Behning is a skilled leader in IT management, strategic planning and business development, having broad experience in financial, title and appraisal vendor management, software development and mortgage industries.
