QPR Partner CACI Ltd has today announced that Plymouth Teaching Primary Care Trust (PCT) has selected the performance management system QPR Scorecard. The system will be used to improve performance monitoring across the Trust and in particular will support "Standards for Better Health" and "Every Child Matters".
QPR ScoreCard delivered by CACI is providing the Performance and Informatics Directorate at Plymouth PCT and its partner agencies including the Strategic Health Authority and Local Authority with access to Trust-wide performance and activity information at the click of a button.
50 users from across the Trust will have access to information about a range of targeted performance indicators and actions, as identified within the operational Board Reports, Delivery Plans, Local Delivery Plan and Strategic Plan. External partner agency staff from Plymouth City Council will also have access to QPR Scorecard in order to better support joint working and collaboration, particularly in social care.
Commenting on the system, Andy Vickers, Deputy Director of Performance and Informatics at Plymouth PCT, said: "QPR Scorecard will be particularly important in helping us to provide the `evidence base` for Standards for Better Health, a national initiative that was introduced by the Department of Health earlier this year. Because QPR acts as a live and interactive Board Report, we can far more easily and quickly access performance information, which will be especially important when our auditors request reports at a moment`s notice!"
Another major feature of QPR ScoreCard, which is a particular benefit, is its ability to provide a clear link between the different plans and targets set for the Trust. Because we can track yearly Service Plan targets against the three year Local Delivery Plan, and then against the 10 year Strategic Plan, for example, we can very easily monitor current performance with long term objectives; something that will prove critical in demonstrating to individual staff members and Directorates how their performance relates to the Trust`s corporate strategy. No other system could deliver the flexibility or functionality to do this effectively."
Graham James, Healthcare Group Director at CACI commented, "We`re committed to putting Standards for better Health at the forefront of our health information solutions, and are delighted to be working with Plymouth in helping them to achieve these targets."
The project will be completed during October 2005, in time for Plymouth PCT to submit the first Core Standards self-assessment statement for the Standards for Better Health initiative.
