PM mobile dashboard on iPhone
LiquidPlanner, provider of online project management for the enterprise, has unveiled its first iPhone application, a fully integrated native application that is designed to keep project teams in sync with one another, writes PR-USA.net
The mobile dashboard represents the category's first social project management solution for the iPhone and demonstrates how the next generation of online applications will be accessed on-the-go.
"Today's worker is no longer chained to their desk. Increasingly, they look to their mobile devices as a way to stay connected to their team and their various projects," says Charles Seybold, co-founder and CEO of LiquidPlanner.
Project Plan releases planning software
Project Plan has released a suite of project planning software for managers and teams, says .Net Developer's Journal.
The software allows project managers to create a project plan quickly and easily and perform project tracking on their desktop. The user can create multiple views, so they can see actual versus planned and baseline progress all in the same window.
Using the latest in Microsoft .net technologies, the software provides the ability to create a Gantt Chart and interact with it dynamically.
PM crucial to IT
Project management, which is picking up momentum in all companies, plays an important role from the start to end of a project, writes CIOL.
Raj Kalady, MD of the Project Management Institute, said: “Project management provides organisations benefits both in a boom time and downturn.
“In a downturn there is a pressure on resources and a skilled project manager is sensitive to the fact and is able to deliver results. In a boom time there is pressure to introduce new products and services, each of which is a project in itself.”
