PM Ora Software, PM Tech Holdings` monitoring and management software division has seen some significant successes in Nigeria since it started providing IT products, services, training and support to the country almost four years ago.
The company now boasts amongst it customer-base two of the major banks as well as the largest GSM operator in the country.
"We`ve worked hard at providing the country`s IT industry with the right skills through training and support as well as the products that fulfil their specific needs, therefore, proactively helping Nigeria to become e-enabled," comments Warren Davis-Hannibal, channel manager for PM Ora Software.
He also comments that it is essentially easier for South African companies to be really successful in Africa as they can work according to time frames - that often differ from the rest of the world - and are more familiar with the cultural diversities of the continent.
Nigeria is one the highest populated countries in Africa, with approximately 150 million people - it is estimated that one out of four Africans are Nigerian.
"We also believe that we have very good relationships with all our customers, which has definitely contributed to our sustainability in a country that is going through some interesting and positive changes.
"From an IT environment perspective, Nigeria definitely knows what it requires to catch-up with its Western counterparts," he comments.
Looking at the future, PM Ora Software will continue to actively promote and provide key software products such as Enterprise Focus, its network management and monitoring tool and Enterprise Advantage.
"Our international partners are keen to provide services and products to Nigeria as they see the true potential for growth in the country as well as the dollar-based economy," says Davis-Hannibal.
