PM Sight, a leader in project and portfolio management, is proud to announce it is now a Microsoft Certified Partner in the Information Worker and EPM competency specialisation.
As a Certified Partner, PM Sight has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and has proven its ability to meet customers' requirements.
Paul Viviers, PM Sight managing director, says: "The company's core capability revolves around Microsoft's Enterprise Project Management Solution, built on Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 and 2007, Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 and 2007 and Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003 and 2007. The certification demonstrates our competency in designing and deploying EPM solutions and recognises PM Sight's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace."
Furthermore, PM Sight is pleased to announce that its consultants are the first in South Africa to get MCP certification for designing an EPM solution.
The exam assessed the EPM consultants' proficiency in gathering business requirements and identifying the current and planned project management environment together with the migration requirements for the solution. The EPM consultants had to show they were able to identify appropriate product features based on the business requirements and that they could manage and evaluate the project planning process. Consultants proved their competency in deploying an EPM solution and validating that the deployment met the deployment plan and business requirements - an important consideration when implementing an EPM solution.
Customers are looking for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities. They need to trust in a company that can act as an expert advisor for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Certified Partners have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft and can build a positive customer experience with our technologies.
Microsoft competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.
"We believe that successful project and portfolio management requires the right people, processes, governance and technologies to fully realise enterprise-wide benefits," Viviers concluded.
