PM Tech Holdings, the software solutions development, IT consulting and systems sales, implementation and support services company, has expanded its South African operations with the opening of a new branch office in Cape Town.
The company plans to align itself with strategic partners to market and implement its locally developed database, operating systems and hardware monitoring solution, Enterprise Gauge.
"There has been so much Cape Town interest in the PM Ora Software suite and our IT consulting services recently - with some very large orders pending - that we felt we could no longer service our client base from Johannesburg," says Mike Leeuwen, director, PM Tech.
"Interest is particularly strong in financial services and telecommunications - two sectors we have been very successful in servicing throughout Africa over the past two years."
Staff at the new offices, located at Knowledge Park, Century City, Cape Town, will initially comprise six consulting, sales and support personnel, although Leeuwen expects this to increase rapidly as its customer base expands and its reseller channel comes into operation.
"With many of the large financial institutions based in Cape Town, we`re very bullish about our expansion into the region and we`re currently talking to a number of resellers to work with us there," he adds. PM Tech`s Cape Town operation will represent three of the company`s four divisions. These are PM Ora Software, the software development division; PM Tech Consulting, the corporate systems consulting, implementation and labour brokering division; and PM Microsoft Consulting Services (PMMCS), the Microsoft products and services consulting division.
"We`re focusing initially on our monitoring solutions and providing high level consulting services," says Leeuwen.
PMOra Software has developed various monitoring tools that make up Enterprise Gauge. This Web-based product allows administrators and managers to monitor their databases and systems remotely via a standard Web browser.
PMMCS provides a single point for consulting, design, roll-out, training, maintenance and support of MS technologies and environments in companies ranging from small concerns to multi-national corporates.
PM Tech Consulting helps companies design, develop and implement systems and provides on-site outsourced IT database and systems management services and offers a placement and recruitment service for permanent and contracting staff.
